About the Awards

The National Aeronautic Association (NAA) and the Air Care Alliance (ACA) created the national Public Benefit Flying Awards to honor and recognize the significant contributions of volunteer-based Public Benefit Flying and the outstanding work of the individuals and organizations engaged in this humanitarian activity.

Awards may be granted to individuals, teams, groups or organizations as appropriate. An award may be given for just one or for several extraordinary events or accomplishments or may be based on long term or lifetime achievement. The Public Benefit Flying Awards are presented at the NAA Fall Awards Dinner in Washington, DC.

Nominations

There are five distinct categories of Public Benefit Flying Awards:

  • Distinguished Volunteer Pilot
  • Distinguished Volunteer
  • Outstanding Achievement in Advancement of Public Benefit Flying
  • Public Benefit Flying Teamwork Award
  • Champion of Public Benefit Flying
